This is the first time that an Italian has taken on this role, marking a symbolic moment for the entire sector. His appointment took place in Sassuolo , during the 2025 General Assembly of the Euf , hosted at the headquarters of Confindustria Ceramica .

The event brought together around 40 delegates from 12 European countries , not only to elect the new management but also to participate in an intense program of visits, meetings and discussions with the excellences of the Italian ceramic district.

Euf 2025 Assembly in Sassuolo: the ceramic capital hosts the European leaders of the laying

The Euf is a strategic platform for the exchange of information and good practices between associations in the ceramic sector, as well as a European hub for the promotion of technological innovation in installation , the growth of professional skills and dialogue between the actors in the supply chain.

During the meeting, Armando Cafiero , General Manager of Confindustria Ceramica, highlighted the need to strengthen the link between the manufacturing industry and installers, with the aim of highlighting the importance of installation as a key phase in the ceramic process.

Italy, today more than ever, is a point of reference for the whole of Europe also thanks to the presence of Graziano Verdi (Vice President of Confindustria Ceramica) at the helm of Cet – the European association of ceramic producers.

The dual Italian role at the top of the two main continental organizations highlights the centrality of our country in the present and future of European ceramics .

It is no coincidence that the invitation to participate in Cersaie 2025 and the next edition of Città della Posa is being strengthened , key moments for consolidating alliances and spreading technical and professional culture.

Euf Strategy 2025–2028. More innovation, young installers and synergies between ceramic associations

Luca Berardo's program is based on three fundamental directions.
The first concerns the expansion of the European collaboration network , involving not only the associations of installers, but also designers, producers and distributors, for an increasingly interconnected supply chain.

The second direction is dedicated to technological innovation , with the aim of monitoring and promoting the most advanced solutions in the installation and presentation of ceramics in showrooms, rewarding European companies that are revolutionising the sector.

Finally, great attention will be paid to the new generations , through awareness campaigns, training activities and national projects that make the profession of installer increasingly attractive and qualified.

The Euf is thus preparing to face a three-year period full of challenges, but also of great opportunities to strengthen the European identity of ceramic installation and enhance it as a strategic lever for the entire sector.
