UFEMAT and FEST strongly support the ''Builders' Merchants Renovation Points" project, submitted under the European Commision's Better Homes Partnerships initiative.

The concept is simple and powerful: transforming certified builders' merchants into physical, neighbourhood-based Renovation Points where households can take their first steps towards energy renovation.

Together with the expertise and networks of heating, sanitary and HVAC distributors, these local points of contact can provide initial guidance, help customers understand suitable renovation solutions and available incentives, and connect them with qualified professionals and, where relevant, regional One-Stop Shops.

Professional distribution is ideally positioned to fulfil this role. Its local presence, technical expertise, trusted customer relationships and close connections with installers can make renovation easier to understand, access and initiate.

By strenghtening this role, the sector can contribute to accelerating Europe's energy renovation transition while reinforcing professional distribution as a driver of quality, compliance and trust throughout the renovation value chain.

We will take a closer look at the ‘Builders’ Merchants Renovation Points’ initiative at the upcoming UFEMAT Congress in Paris. Visit https://ufematparis.eu/ for more information about the Congress.
